Available singularly, or as a couple, each hoopoe features signature black and white wings, part of the enamel detailing which has been expertly applied. The vivid colours are created in the hand enamelling process by overlapping a number of colours onto the sterling silver surface, which are repeatedly baked at high temperatures, to give a strong durable surface. To prevent the items from tarnishing, each piece is lacquered, and every item is supplied in a luxurious box. The hoopoe’s have been fully hallmarked at a UK assay office, guaranteeing the fineness and quality of each .925 sterling silver piece.
